What Are The Highest X Ray Tech Salary Jobs?
More Answers From X-Ray Technicians
Question: Is there any specific fields or types of places to work that you think like typically would pay an X-ray tech more or less or anything of that nature?
Answer: Definitely the larger health care systems are going to pay more than, say, a smaller one. Also, two hospitals, for the most part, pay more than, say, like an outpatient center. And I think it just basically has to go off of like the volume and probably the amount of money that they’re actually bringing in. Also, two banners. The nice thing about it is that they might only be open from like 8 to 5. So you’re not going to be required to work a holiday or an overnight stay from the hospital. You’re getting paid more because there’s other things that go into it.
Answer: I think it’s not going to change a whole heck of a lot if there’s no standalone mammography clinics, really. I mean, there might be in bigger cities, actually, but around where I live, I mean, it’s definitely you’re in a hospital or an actual imaging center.
Answer: I think it’s safe to say that it might vary based on a for profit or a not for profit hospital. I have noticed that the non for profit hospitals sometimes they do pay a tiny bit lower than for profit hospitals. Pretty much throughout all of them. They usually all offer shift differential as well. So your pay is going to be higher if you’re working on like an evening and overnight or a weekend versus during the daytime. But really, I’ve kind of found the pay to be somewhat the same throughout all the places that I’ve worked. It just goes by your experience.
