Question: Are you happy with the choice to have become an X-ray tech, to have done the career switch that you did and gotten into this field 10 years later? Are you happy with the choice?

Jennifer:
Answer: I am. I love it. It seems like sometimes I work a lot. I think it’s just because my hours are just like stagger because I’m trying to accommodate life and everything. But I don’t mind going to work because I actually really like my job. I try not to get involved in office politics and stuff like that. So I mean, like even if something like that is going on, wherever I might be working, I don’t let that affect my.

Farrel:
Answer: Yes, the education piece of it was fantastic and I feel all accomplished that I can be like, I have a bachelor’s degree, you know what I mean? Experts never thought that I would be there in my forties, which is really cool. And I learned a heck of a lot about myself and science, which is really cool too, but I had no idea going into it what I was going to do. Like I didn’t know if I was going to just end up working in a hospital doing stuff like that. And that’s why the education piece of it is so cool, because they tell you, they give you this information and then you have so many different avenues to go. You can do so many things with a radiologic technology degree. It’s just it’s mind blowing, actually.

Jenna:
Answer: I really enjoy it and I feel like it’s important what I do and it makes a difference. Yeah, I like that a lot. So it definitely has led me to a great career. I love doing x ray, I love doing ultrasound. A mix of both of them definitely keeps things interesting and new. It’s not like you’re doing the same thing every day. And then it’s also led me to teaching in the field, and it’s been very rewarding.
